Daniel Amigo is a 208 cm (6’10”) center who has an outstanding all-around game. He is a tough, physical, smart, well-coached, and skilled center who keeps it very simple around the rim. On catches around the low post, Daniel keeps the ball high and finishes strong with either hand. He runs the floor well and uses spacing to drive his man to the basket from low post. Daniel can also step outside and shoot it from mid-range. He is a very skilled and unselfish passer which is one of his greatest attributes. In addition, Daniel welcomes physicality on defensive end and does an outstanding job in pick and roll defense, switch defense, and blocking shots with either hand.
Daniel is currently a free agent, and will be ready to play in mid October.
In July 2022 daniel signed to play for Libertadores in Mexican top league. They finished 4th in the league and Daniel averaged 9 points and 6 rebounds per game. In summer 2022, Daniel played for Humacao in Puerto Rico. He averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds per game.
As the starting center on the Mexican National Team, he averaged 14points and 6.5 rebounds per game during FIBA America Cup.
After finishing Mexican season, Daniel signed to play for Torun in Polish league. They finished the season in 7th place, and he averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds per game in 24 minutes of plan. In July 2021, Daniel signed to play for Soles in Mexican top league. He averaged 11ppg and 5rpg for Soles, and they made it to the semi-finals of the Playoffs. In December 2021, Daniel played for Mexican National Team and they beat the U.S. and Puerto Rico national teams. During 2020/2021 season, Daniel played for Pieno Zvaigzdes in Lithuanian top league. As a starter in 20 minutes per game Daniel averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds, and shot 56% from the field. During 2019/2020 season Daniel played for Soles in Mexican top LNBP league. They finished the regular season in first place and won the LNBP Championship. As a starter in 54 games and 20 minutes per game, he averaged 10.3 points and 5 rebounds per game with 58% shooting from the field. After the season, Daniel signed to play for a Lithuanian team, Pieno Zvaigzdes. In a win against second ranked Lithuanian team, Lietkabelis, Daniel had 11 points and 5 rebounds in 15 minutes. Lithuanian season was canceled shortly after this game, so Daniel only played in one game for Pieno Zvaigzdes and had 11 points and 5 rebounds. He re-signed with Pieno Zvaigzdes for 2020/2021 season. During 2018/2019 season, Daniel played for DEAC in Hungarian top league. In 24 minutes per game, he averaged 12 points and 6 rebounds per game with 56% shooting from the field. Below are highlights from the Hungarian league.
Daniel played college basketball at University of Denver where he earned All-Summit Conference selection in both junior and senior seasons. During his senior season, he averaged 15.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, and shot 52% from the field.
