Jermaine Marshall is a versatile forward who can score in various ways. He is a relentless rebounder who brings high intensity on both ends of the floor by being able to guard both forward positions. Jermaine is outstanding in getting into the lane, using fakes, and playing off two feet to create his own shot or to get teammates in position to score. He is a crafty offensive player who can either face up and attack defenders or post them up down low. He runs the floor well and makes excellent decisions in transition and half court offense. Jermaine is a versatile and tough on-the-ball defender where he uses his length, athleticism, intelligence, toughness, and footwork to stop perimeter players from driving or shooting over him. When guards are being pressured, he brings the ball up the floor and has the ability to start his team’s offense.
During his last season in college at NCAA I Samford University, Jermaine won the Southern Conference regular season and conference tournament. He was named All-Tournament 1st Team selection. Samford University lost to Kansas University by 4 points in the 1st Round of NCAA Tournament.
During the 3 seasons at Samford University, he averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds per game in 23 minutes per game. He shot 48% from the field, 35% behind the 3-point line, and 78% from the free throw line. In 2022/2023 season, he was named All-Southern Conference 2nd Team selection, and won the regular season Southern Conference title.
