Tyler Wideman is a 203 cm (6’8”) strong, crafty, and versatile power forward who can also play as a center. He is outstanding in getting into the lane and playing off two feet to create his own shot or to get teammates in position to score. His offensive strengths are ability to post up players and finish around the rim, create his own shot by using shot fakes, step-back, pull-up moves, pick and pop, and getting offensive rebounds and put-backs. Tyler face-up and use his toughness, high IQ, and skills to score, or drive and finish with either hand around the basket. He is highly coachable and keeps it simple as he reads defense well. Joe is a versatile defender who uses his experience, toughness, and strength to defend either power forwards or centers.
Last season, Tyler averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds for Maccabi Raanana in Israeli National League and won the championship. He was named 2nd Team All-Asraeli National League Selection, and shot 53% from the field, 33% from the 3-point line, and 73% from the free throw line.
During 2023-2024 season, Tyler played for ELAchem Vigevano in Italian 2nd Division, and averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds per game. He shot 49% from the field, 37% from behind the 3-point line, and 70% from the charity line.
During 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons, he played for Ramat Hasharon in Israeli National League. The first season, he averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds per game, and shot 55% from the field, 40% behind the 3-point line, and 80% from the free throw line. The second season, Tyler averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per game.

During 2020-2021 season, Tyler averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds per game for Sopron in Hungarian top league. During 2019-2020 season, he played for Maccabi Raanana and averaged 18 points and 8 rebounds per game. In his rookie season, Tyler played for Cedevita Zagreb and averaged 8 points and 5 rebounds per game.
