Michael Ertel is a crafty and feisty point guard who else plays the shooting guard position equally well. He is an exceptional shooter who can score in various ways: off the dribble, spotting up, one-on-one, and pick and roll. Michael uses his body incredibly well to draw fouls, plays off two feet in the lane, and uses various fakes in his offensive repertoire. His pick and roll skills, passing, mid-range pull ups, step-backs, and shooting from behind the 3-point line are his go-to offensive moves. Defensively, he uses his body well to avoid getting screened by bigger players and moves his feet well to keep quick guards in the front of him and out of the paint. Because of his balance, toughness, high IQ, anticipation, and discipline, he is a solid defender. During his 5-year college career at UAB and ULM, Michael scored over 2000 points.
