Erik Thomas is a versatile forward who can score in various ways. He is a relentless rebounder and brings high intensity on both ends of the floor. Erik is outstanding in getting into the lane and playing off two feet to create his own shot or to get teammates in position to score. Erik is a crafty offensive player who can either face up and attack defenders or post them up down low. He runs the floor well and makes excellent decisions in transition and half court offense. Erik is a versatile and tough on-the-ball defender where he uses his size, intelligence, toughness, and footwork to stop perimeter players from driving or shooting over him. He can also guard power forwards, which adds more versatility to his defensive game. When guards are being pressured, he brings the ball up the floor and has the ability to start his team’s offense.

In January 2025, Erik signed to play for Urunday in Uruguay. He finished the season averaging 21.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.Afte the season, Erik signed to play for Spartans in Venezuela, and averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds per game.

Erik played for Soles in Mexican LNBP until December, 2024. He averaged 13 points and 6 rebounds per game, and the team made semi-finals of the Playoffs. Below are his Mexican LNBP 2024 highlights.

In January 2024, Erik signed to play for Ancud in Chile. He averaged 20 points and 8 rebounds per game, and the team won the regular season. They made the semi-finals of the Playoffs.

From August 1st until November 1st, Erik played 16 games for one of the top Mexican LNBP teams, Astros. He averaged 11 points and 5 rebounds per game, with great percentages. The team lost in the Finals of NLBP.

During 2022/2023 season for Geneva Lions in Swiss league, Erik averaged 13.5 points and 6 rebounds per game. Geneva made it to the semi-finals of the Playoffs. Below are highlights from Swiss league.

In August 2022, Erik won Mexican LNBP championship and averaged 13 points and 6 rebounds per game with outstanading perfentages. He was named first team and forward of the year in Mexican LNBP.

During 2021/2022 season, Erik played for Brasilia in Brazilian top NBB league. He finished the season averaging 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. In the beginning of the season Erik played for Soles in Mexican top LNBP league and averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds per game. Below are his season highlights from Brazil.

During 2020/2021 season, Erik first played for Soles in Mexico where he averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds per game. He was named first team All-NLBP selection. After completion of Mexican league, Erik played for Paulistano in Brazil. He averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds. Below are highlights from Mexican league.

During 2019/2020 season, Erik played for Ferro de Carril in Argentinian top league and averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds per game.

During 2018/2019 season, Erik played for both Regatas and Libertad in Argentina and he averaged 13 points and 7 rebounds per game.

In college at NCAA I University of New Orleans, Erik was named MVP of Southland Conference as he averaged 19ppg and 8rpg. Below are his college highlights.
