Donovan Jackson is a very quick guard who possesses a great overall skill set. Since he can either attack defenders off the dribble, make a mid-range pull up shot, or shoot from behind the 3-point line, defenders have a dilemma on how to guard him. In addition to his strong one-on-one skills, transition plays, and mid range shot, he is a very solid 3-point shooter. Because of his ability to read defense well, he is tough to guard in pick-and-roll situations and one-on-one play. In addition to his scoring ability, he is an exceptional passer and a teammate. Because of his speed, footwork, and intelligence, he is a tough solid defender and earned multiple defensive player. His greatest asset is that he is a fearless winner who always competes at the highest level and steps up his game against top teams and competition.

In January 2025, Donovan signed to play for Greek Basketball Champions League team, Kolossos.

During 2024 Mexican LNBP season, he averaged 8 points per game in 18 minutes per game for Soles. During his career, Donovan averaged 13 points per game for Pardubice in Czech Republic and Kolossos in Greece. Afterwards, he averaged 18 points per game for Torun in Poland and Soles in Mexican LNBP.
